What did you do before working at MK Electric & Design Inc?
Head Autobody Detail for 7 months.
What is your job and tell me about your Electrical schooling/Training?
I am an Electrician Trainee currently studying and applying the NEC standards along with scientific theories such as Pi, Ohms Law, Voltage, Current, and Resistance in my daily work.
What courses are you enrolled in?
Just passed 202 and am signing up for “Get WIre” 203.
Has your electrical schooling helped you solve real-life problems in the workplace?
Yes, it has allowed me to work more independently without relying on lead foremen for direction. Schooling provides guidance and understanding for the safe operation of electrical equipment, ensures proper installation, and efficient task completion such as troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment.
Has the training given you more confidence in the workplace?
Yes, I am applying what I am learning daily. Work tends to make more sense now that I have a fundamental knowledge of electrical.
Did you find the training flexible enough?
Yes, you get the option to structure your learning schedule and pick days.
What’s your favorite part about working at MK-Electric & Design Inc?
I enjoy bugging Matt the Foreman! Jokes aside, I genuinely enjoy the work at hand, the colleagues I work with and the sense of accomplishment after a job is completed.
Are there certain personality traits or skills that do well at MK Electric & Design Inc?
I am an adaptive learner (quick Learner). I take imitative to successfully complete the job at hand.
What is your proudest moment at MK?
Seeing the completion of projects from start to finish is extremely rewarding.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Dirt Biking, Snow Boarding, Fishing, Hiking - also, I am a big foodie.
What is on your bucket list?
I want to see the Northern Lights
Where is your favorite place to eat?
Wing-Stop and Taco Bell!!
Would you rather live without Netflix or live without YouTube?
Netflix puts me to sleep, YouTube I can do without.
